dependability according to dictionary.com is:
capable of being depended on; worthy of trust; reliable; a dependable employee.
dependability is something you need to be when having a job for example; when having a job your manager has to be able to depend on you to do your job, show up on time. For me, my manager depends on his employees a lot to do the job when he isn't there sometimes your their alone and you have to do all the work on your own and really work hard. At night when its you and one other person you have to make sure everything is clean, sanitized, put away and ready for the night day. Being dependable is very important especially when your getting or having a job.
You make a really good point when talking about how managers and owners of stores really rely on their employees. My manager has told me a few different times that he has a lot of faith in me. Whenever the owner of Waba Grill, my place of work, or the manager tells me that they are depending on me to come through I always want to exceed their expectations. It's so important as an employee, and co-worker to be dependable.
ReplyDeleteDependability is one of the most important things to have when it comes to a job, I completely agree. I have not held a job yet, but I plan to in the future (duh). An employer has to be able to count on you to come through for them when they need you most. Especially when he is absent. I agree with Kelli too, exceeding expectations is a really good thing to do when you know someone is relying on you. I hope that when I do get a job, that I can be a reliable, hardworking employee, wherever I decide to work.
